Should you need a model that’s better for heavy lifting, the X5 can tow up to 7,200 pounds. The X3 can only tow up to 4,400 pounds. While this may be enough, there are options in the event you need more power.
BMW X3 vs. X5: Notable Features
No matter whether you opt for the X3 or X5, there are plenty of high-tech features, comforts, and conveniences. A few standard features each has includes voice-activated navigation, 10-way power front seats, and leatherette upholstery. - Cargo Accessibility: The X3 comes standard with a liftgate that you can open using your key fob, and offers a hands-free liftgate as an optional upgrade in its base trim. The X5 comes standard with Comfort Access keyless entry with a hands-free-access trunk.
