A Special Message For Maddie…

October is a month we’re all reminded of how very important breast cancer awareness and research is. We support that cause at BMW of Gwinnett Place and all of us know someone who has been impacted by it.

This month, I want to share information about another disease and a very important story about a precious little girl, Maddie, who has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.

Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of the child’s life: their ability to speak, walk, eat and even breathe easily. What makes this so personal to our staff, is that her father works with us. We want to take this time to raise awareness of Rett Syndrome and also provide an opportunity for anyone who wants to donate toward research and show support for Maddie. Just click on the link below. You’ll see money was raised at the Atlanta Strollathon October 6th, but the need for additional funding continues. That was just the beginning of what we hope to raise for research and in honor of Maddie.
